About Romolo Tantalo

Romolo Tantalo is a Brampton business owner and candidate for City Councillor in Wards 1 and 5.

As the owner of two Brampton-based businesses—Thermal Core GeoEnergy Ltd. and Tanolo Tech Integration Inc.—Romolo understands the opportunities and challenges facing residents, homeowners, professionals and local businesses.

Through Thermal Core GeoEnergy, Romolo has spent years helping property owners maintain and improve the heating and cooling systems that keep their homes and businesses comfortable and efficient. As a co-owner of Tanolo Tech Integration, a building-code and accessibility consulting firm, he also understands how municipal regulations, permits, infrastructure and administrative processes can affect construction projects, local investment and the everyday lives of residents.

Running successful businesses requires responsible financial management, practical problem-solving, responsive service and accountability for results. Romolo believes Brampton residents deserve those same qualities from their municipal government.

Romolo is running to bring a practical, community-focused and business-minded perspective to City Hall. His priorities include responsible spending, reliable municipal services, safer and more accessible neighbourhoods, support for local businesses and greater accountability to the residents of Wards 1 and 5.

Romolo is ready to listen, work collaboratively and help build a stronger Brampton for families, businesses and future generations.

First Campaign Promise

I am here to fight for the residents of Wards 1 and 5, as well as for all residents of Brampton. Making promises is one thing, but backing them up with action is the true measure of commitment to you, the voters. That’s why I am donating my first year's take-home salary to:

1) Brampton Fire Service (5 months)

2) Christmas gifts for the children at Brampton Civic Hospital (1 month)

3) Funding for Brampton's second full-service hospital.(6 months)

Fire Services

The Brampton Fire Service is underfunded and lacks adequate personnel in first response, emergency communications, and essential equipment, including fire engines and personal gear for new recruits, who often receive used uniforms upon hiring.

In the upcoming budget, I aim to engage with the fire service department to ensure they receive the necessary resources to keep both Brampton citizens and fire service personnel safe.

Long Over Due Hospital

Expediting the establishment of two full-service hospitals in Brampton is essential. Securing funding will ensure that the second hospital opens sooner, fully equipped to provide comprehensive care for Brampton's residents, ultimately making it one of the safest and healthiest cities in Ontario.

Accessibility and Safety for the community

The recent project in downtown Brampton, which focused on upgrading the sidewalk and adding bike lanes, has unfortunately compromised safety for the blind and vision-impaired community. The improper use of directional indicators has created hazards for this group and has raised liability concerns for the city.

Addressing this significant oversight will incur costs, placing an additional burden on taxpayers.

This situation undermines residents' confidence in the city's ability to effectively execute even straightforward projects like a new sidewalk. How can we trust the city and council to manage the upcoming river walk, which is projected to cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars?

Stay tuned for more updates.
